I started learning how to edit around the end of 2021 in Premiere Pro, having spent the last 3 years working to constantly improve my skills. On the Gallery page you can go to view some of my older projects as well as many of my newer ones, and you can see the improvement in quality over time. I am certified in premiere pro, but do have some experience in other applications such as DaVinci or FinalCut.
Broadcasting
I've been doing broadcasts with DPNews since late 2021, working wide, tight, and sideline cameras. I've also worked the audio control, video control, and done play by play commentary. Broadcasts ranged from football, water polo, pep rallys, and other events like schol meetings. Starting in August of 2023 I started planning and organizing the livestream of the only home cross country meet of the year. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMKYB2qg3mY) With 3 main cameras livestreaming from the track, and 3 cameras recording out on the course where it was difficult to get high quality constant video, due mostly to bad cell reception and dense tree cover. I attempted to use high power point to point wireless Ethernet bridges, but they were unable to get a consistant signal through the trees, even with direct line of sight at 300ft. We tried multiple different brands however none of them were able to get a strong enough signal far enough out. It was a challenge to pull off while maintaining other responsibilities.
Photography
I have been doing photojournalism and artistic photography for over a year, beggining my journey not long after I started with video editing. I first learned the basics of photo shop before 2020 but got proficient with both photoshop and lightroom in early 2024. I mainly use Canon cameras, being the most familiar with the 5Diii, 90D, and R7. I am familiar with sony cameras and have experience using them in the past. Many of my photos are available in the photography gallery, some of which date back more than 3 years.
